Your Personal Finances are Personal Except When it's about Community

No one who has more than enough money or not enough of it likes to discuss personal finances. Why? It's embarrassing. It makes people uncomfortable. It's PERSONAL forgodsake!

However personal it is, everyone wants more. Right? Now, let's get impersonal for a moment.Okay, maybe it's personal, but since God said it (See Malachi 3:7-12), let's discuss it here.

God never intended the worldly government to take care of the poor. There, I said it. Now, don't go throwing away the social crutches before the leg is healed. After all, there may always be a portion of the population that chooses to remain poor. Why? Wealth requires effort! That effort first requires wisdom. And wisdom comes from God.

Let's not confuse intelligence with wisdom. Intelligence is knowing your options. Wisdom is knowing which is the best option to choose for long-term success in peace.

Those who develop themselves are required by God to share ten percent of their income with the poor (church or charity). Mind you, the church should not be poor (preferably) but it should feed the poor (food, clothing, shelter, wisdom through God's word). That ten percent we give systematically every time we get paid is called a tithe.

Tithing is God's way of leveraging. God owns 100% of everything on earth, yet asks that we share only ten percent of our income AND time with what concerns God. Support your local synagogue or church first, then send an additional offering to the charity of your choice.

Giving to GOD's temple first wraps the gift with prayer and hope for you, your family, and the poor. Sometimes that poor person is you (lacking health, wisdom, and/or integrity) and you don't even know it. But you'll be covered and God will then find subtle ways to help realign you.

God promises that if we (including the poor) read the word of God (Torah/Bible) daily, we will increase in wisdom. As we increase in wisdom, we get business ideas and career guidance which inevitably leads to more income and greater wealth.

That is ultimately, God's solution to end poverty. But we each must do our part. Giving (only) money to the poor keeps them poor. But giving them a warm meal, a bible, and a financial gift gives them hope and a future. Bringing them to temple or church to get their soul refreshed and encouraged for themselves, well that's just showing off. Now you've just forced God's Hand to bless you. And when God blesses you, life gets really good.

It's only ten percent of your time and ten percent of your money. You'll always have it to give if you choose to do it. Yet the returns (ROI) on your time, money, health, and faith will simply amaze you!

Activate Your Purpose!

Face it. Until you got potty trained and learned how to walk and talk, you were just a cute ball of clay. Twenty, thirty, forty or even fifty years later, unless you've developed, you're just dust taking up space. But there is good news! It's not a race. You're not competing with anyone. After all, who can compete with you at being you? No one can; that's who!

Yet LORD, You are our GOD; we are the clay, and You are our potter; we all are the work of Your hands. Isaiah 64:8

But you were never designed to go it alone. The Creator of the Universe is simply waiting for you to "activate" your heart and mind OR in tech terms "register" with the manufacturer, GOD. By doing so, you allow the Creator of Heaven and Earth to activate your God given destiny.  You become aware of your natural gifts and talents. You also become more aware of the steps needed to fulfill your purpose here on earth.

13 For You have created my conscience.
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise You, for I am awesomely, wonderfully made! Wonderful are Your works— and my soul knows that very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Psalm 139:13-15

How do you "register" your creation? Glad you asked! You "register" through God's redemption plan. You've heard of it. It's called salvation.

And everyone who calls upon the name of the LORD will be delivered. For as the LORD has said, 'In Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, the survivors whom the LORD is calling.' Joel 2:32

Once, redeemed, the "Master Potter" aka the LORD GOD, Creator of heaven, earth, and you, takes your ball of clay and goes to work. You were designed with a definite purpose. Why guess? There is a reason why you are here. You are a living piece to God's universal puzzle. And GOD knows exactly where you fit. No one is lost. Many are just unaware. But GOD always sees the bigger picture!

Adonai your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants—to love Adonai your God with all your heart and with all your soul, in order that you may live. Deuteronomy 30:6

A single drop of water joined with other tiny drops of water makes an ocean and can carry ocean liners. The acorn grows to become a mighty oak tree. The caterpillar eventually becomes a beautiful and colorful butterfly. And so it is with you. You are just another human clay form until you "activate" your masterpiece.

16 Your eyes saw me when I was unformed, and in Your book were written the days that were formed when not one of them had come to be.17 How precious are Your thoughts, O God! How great is the sum of them! 18 Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand! When I awake, I am still with You. Psalm 139:16-18

Here's the "Soul Activation" aka Salvation Prayer so many seek. Say it aloud to activate the BEST of you. Lucky you. You found it. Congratulations.

Dear LORD GOD, Creator of Heaven and earth. I repent of my sins. I renounce satan and his works of darkness. Into Your Hand I commit my whole life. Wash me clean. Restore my soul. I accept your free yet precious gift of salvation. As my personal LORD and Saviour, I now allow your sweet Holy Spirit to guide my heart and mind  daily to fulfill my divine purpose. Thank you for redeeming me Oh LORD GOD of truth. Guide me all the days of my life. Amen.

Congratulations! Your soul has just been "activated" a.k.a. redeemed. Today, you are smarter than an apple iPhone.

Easy. Right? Please share it.

Moving Forward. Giving Back.

It's one of the great mysteries of life. What you wish for others (good or bad) you often get yourself.

God shares this in the story in the Book of Job in the bible. Job, once rich, started experiencing horrible setbacks. His friends came to console him. Nothing worked until he humbled himself before God. He stopped thinking about himself and prayed for his friends instead. It worked! Everything turned around for Job and his life was twice as good as it was before.

Why is that? You humble yourself and life promotes you.

The fear of the LORD is the instruction for wisdom, and before honor comes humility. Proverbs 15:33

You'll notice the most successful businesses have the best customer service. Discerning customers are willing to pay the highest prices for expensive luxury products and services especially and often specifically due to the top quality and attentive care of its employees. When the customer service falters, so does the value of the brand. If that brand is you, then you must give and serve others with the upmost care.

It may seem counter-intuitive, but in order to go up, you must humble yourself and be generous to others. Give to charity, and you prosper more. Give to others in need as you once were (or are), and life gets easier. Doors open and you just move forward.

Everything in the universe (nature) is balanced. Too much of anything GOOD or BAD is destructive.

Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, but humility goes before honor. Proverbs 18:12
Book vector created by Macrovector -
People often spend so much time with technology, they forget humanity is part of nature's balance wheel. Focus and striving for success is rewarded in our culture, but true and lasting peace actually comes from consistent giving. Everyone has a cause or group they believe in even if they don' believe in GOD (who is, was, and ever shall be).

"7 From the days when your ancestors served Me, you have turned from and ignored My statutes. Return to Me and I, the Eternal, Commander of heavenly armies, will return to you. But you shameless people ask, “How will we return? Will someone steal from God?” Yet you are always stealing from Me! But you self-centered people still ask, “How have we stolen from You?” In the tithes and the offerings you have not given Me as the law requires! You are cursed with a curse, for as an entire nation you are stealing from Me. 10 To rectify this situation, you must bring the entire tithe into the storage house in the temple so that there may be food for Me and for the Levites in My house. Feel free to test Me now in this. See whether or not I, the Eternal, Commander of heavenly armies, will open the windows of heaven to you and pour a blessing down upon you until all needs are satisfied. 11 I will rebuke the swarm of locusts devouring your crops, and the devourer will not cause the produce you have grown in the earth to decay or the vines in the field to drop their grapes. 12 And all the nations will call you blessed, for you will be a land of delight. I, the Eternal, Commander of heavenly armies, promise you this." Malachi 3:7-12
Select a church, synagogue or charity that helps others out of poverty (physically and/or spiritually). Give them ten percent of every dollar you make unconditionally. It is the oldest, wisest and most reliable way to continuously move forward in your own life.

You have to know what you want. Set a worthy goal. Decide where you're going to give and commit to doing it every time you get paid with no strings attached.

Sound too easy? Try it.

God honors commitment and giving back to others. Consistency is key! #MyLOVEisONE

Meet The Forgotten Man No One Likes But Everyone Wants to Know

Introducing The Forgotten Man No One Likes But Everyone Needs

I recently had the pleasure of meeting the "ultimate forgotten man". Everyone's heard of him by another well known name, but don't know it's Him. Though no one knows him, no one likes him. In fact, he's blamed for everything. Yet, EVERYONE and I do mean EVERYONE wants to meet Him.

Another extremely popular man has even successfully impersonated him for years! That is, until now.

You'll love this "forgotten man" when you hear His story. He's waited a long time to tell it. He's trusting you to share the truth.

Read his story for yourself. Then, select a SHARE button to tell others. Thank you.

MY LOVE is ONE: Your Purpose? BE MORE!

Graduating from any grade or school level (i.e. high school, college, university etc) or making any career change are major chapters in one's life. It's the most pronounced time of clarity of that ominous question, "What's my purpose?".

Most people want to know they are on the path that will lead to joy and rich fulfillment. The earlier you ask, the more sure you are to find it.

But the truth is, it's never too late to ask for and discover your path and purpose in life. The only ones who don't discover it are the ones who never ask.

GOD just wants you to be more than what and how you started. There's a good parable in the bible about a man with five talents who turns it to ten. Another man has only one talent and buries it. That man is chastised by the Property Manager (a.k.a GOD).

GOD (a.k.a The Ultimate Creator") loves it when you take the seeds of anything like a grape and plant a vineyard. You can eat all the grapes and enjoy it for a season or you can take a portion and expand the vineyard for a continuous harvest and ongoing pleasure.

You can also earn money from selling the good grapes. You can even earn money by selling the dried grapes as raisins. But you can earn the highest profit margins, if you harvest the grapes at their peak, crush them, put them into oak barrels, then sell the fermented juice from the grapes as fine wine in due season. The grapes have value in and of themselves in the marketplace. But you recognizing its additional use as wine makes it more valuable.

Please don't overlook the expensive oak barrels. They come from mighty oak trees which were one tiny acorns. That's not man's doing. That's just GOD being GOD. Upgrading is just GOD's nature.

The same goes for olives to olive oil and aloe plants to aloe vera juice or aloe as a liquid band aid. Any evolution is the highest compliment to your Creator.

GOD sends you to your parents full of potential. It's your job to recognize your own gifts and talents and create something out of nothing even if your parents don't see it in you first.

Regardless of your background or education, your gift makes room for you. Recognize your gift. Package it the best you can until you can do better. Market it to the community (locally, regionally or worldwide on the internet).

A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.
Proverbs 18:16

Whether it is a job, a position, a career or a business, give your highest quality of service to others. GOD comes around every season to see if you've developed yourself or not.

Hard knocks are often a way to steer you onto the right path. Life rewards those who make good use of gifts, ideas, talents, and unique qualities GOD gave them. Discover yours. May GOD bless and prosper you exceedingly for doing so.

My Love is One: Recognizing the REAL Messiah is LUST vs LOVE

Some people may wonder what is the biggest difference between the "wanna be" and the REAL Messiah. I've met them both. I can tell you.

“Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one." (Shema Israel, ADONAI Eloheinu, ADONAI Echad) Deuteronomy 6:4

The "wanna be" is so charismatic he could sell honey to a bee. The real Messiah is quiet and pensive. They are both brilliant.

Each has a different goal. One wants to be powerful and famous. The other wants to serve Adonai perfectly. The results, as you can imagine, differ immensely. It's Lust/Envy vs. L-O-V-E.

Society tends to pay more attention to the LOUD, charismatic, colorful options. The truth can sometimes seem too quiet and boring.

The first can lead you sprinting head first over a cliff and into the fire. The latter can and will lead to peace. Don't get me wrong. The truth can also be charismatic and colorful. It's just usually calm and peaceful as it has nothing to prove. It simply is.

So if you are looking for everlasting peace and true love, look no further. GOD placed the truth in your heart. You just need to ask. And this time, it's not a fairy tale.

All the trees of the field shall know that I, the LORD, have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish; I, the LORD, have spoken and have done it. Ezekiel 17:24

MY LOVE IS ONE: An Empire State of Mind

People often wonder, what is the point of everything? Why are we here (on earth)? What's the meaning of life?

It's a good question. It's also an old question. But there is an answer.

We're here to learn about and to understand true love. This is not any over the counter, cheap imitation kind of love. It's unconditional ever lasting love which makes it priceless.

And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. Deuteronomy 6:5

God tells anyone and everyone who seeks love that we are to love GOD with our entire heart, mind, and being. Then, love our neighbors as we love ourselves. You've heard of it. It's the Golden Rule. Jews call it the Shema (Sh'ma Yisrael).

You shall not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD. Leviticus 19:18

When you love someone, you show it. You become more tender hearted and generous. You want to do what's right. You can't stop thinking about that special someone.

Once we learn to truly love, the atmosphere around us changes. God can live amongst us.

We will learn how to make godly decisions like our Creator. Once learned, we get to go back to our original home. Lesson learned.

Makes perfect sense. Sounds pretty easy, right? Try it.

Your Role in God's BIG PICTURE

When you look up into the cosmos, what do you see? What do you feel? What do you think?

Every planet has a plan and a purpose. You should too.

The planets are like real estate development to God. Surely, one human being is of more value than a single planet. Surely, God will develop you too!

Your life has a purpose. Your job is simply to ask what it is. Then watch how life begins to unfold in all its divine majesty into a series of nudges and coincidences.

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails. Proverbs 19:21

Designed by Freepik

That's what happened to me. Even when I seemed to fall down at times, I always seemed to "fall forward."

The LORD upholds all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down. Psalm 145:14

One thing was always sure. Once I had outgrown a chapter in the series, I couldn't go back, just forward.

I had grown up watching classic award winning movies. I loved to read. I enjoyed satire and sophisticated humor. I had a passion for fashion. I questioned everything. I was shy but stubborn.

I didn't grow up in a religious household. We never went to church. We just went fishing in my father's eighteen seater speed boat. We weren't rich, just comfortable.

I didn't like touching worms or scaly fish. I just liked driving the speed boat. I never got tired of watching the sun rays bounce and twinkle off the water's surface. I always slept better those nights when we got home. Our household was usually rather turbulent.

I had started asking and wondering during those journeys about my purpose. All the while I was writing and sewing.

I now share somewhat unconventional soul awakening blogs, videos, books, audios, and social media messages announcing the coming Messiah. While I no longer sew clothes, I do sow charitably. Oh, did I mention? I also talk with God.

Your gifts and talents may differ from mine but everyone plays a part in God's BIG PICTURE. Let the tree be the tree. Let the flower be the flower. And let the rock be the rock.

Let not one envy another. Your part is necessary in creating this beautiful picture. Everyone has a part. There are no small players.

Even something as simple as daily prayer (disaster recovery, lower national debt, lower taxes, family unity, quality healthcare, provisions for the poor and needy etc) can have a HUGE impact. Just commit to it daily. Keep it sweet and simple. A child can (and should) do this. One of my favorite prayers is the 23rd Psalm.

Now therefore amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will relent of the disaster that he has pronounced against you. Jeremiah 26:13

Just remember what you pray and do for others, God will eventually do for you. Why not store up your blessings for a rainy day? It's like having super sized insurance but even better.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

MY LOVE IS ONE: Authentic Dating Tips for Unauthentic People

Whether you've tried dating online or offline, everyone agrees that it can be difficult. How much personal information should you share with complete strangers?

One thing is clear. If you post a picture from your best school year which is over ten years old, and your bio is cut and pasted from a combo of Forbes List of rising Entreprenurs to watch, and you've photo shopped yourself in front a house you saw in Architectural Digest, you're really going to eventually disappoint someone. Even if that someone is you. Lies beget lies.

Before my father married his second wife, his online profile was what he thought was his best picture from his business card and work id from the 1970's. He also posted his age to be the same as my older sister.

He sheepishly reminded my sister and I that he was her age, in fact, even younger in that picture. As you can imagine, we sat stunned while mentally washing our brains with a toothbrush. Remove the plaque of any scarred memories please. This was one of them.

He did eventually find someone. It wasn't online. It was through a "mutual friend". I say "mutual friend" lightly.

He eventually remarried. She is a very smart professional woman who was clearly just having a weak moment when she ignored all the red flags. She says she overlooked some things because he had such loving children. That's another story for another day.

The point is they are now separated. Apparently, he couldn't keep his mask on and he wasn't willing to change. He just "changed back." One can only hold one's breath for so long.

Just be yourself. You are most likely to find people with mutual interests if you are participating and sharing those genuine interests (art, museums, music, dancing, bird watching etc.) You get the idea.

Take the time to work on yourself. Discover what you do and do not like.

You'll eventually find someone who likes you just the way you are, flaws and all. Just be ready to accept theirs too. It's all a part of the process of growing up and growing old with someone who understands and accepts you.

"Give instruction to a wise person, and he will become wiser still; teach a righteous person and he will add to his learning." Proverbs 9:9

Value time? "Seek God to help you", says the wise man. Begging is not required. Just ask.

Elul: a Time for Self-Reflection, Correction & Promotion

As a non-denominational Christian, I am grateful to say I have received a few priceless gifts from GOD during the LORD's High Holidays. Sadly, it turns out most of the popular, though well meaning, Christian holidays such as Easter and Christmas have pagan origins.

The Judaic High Holidays are still the LORD's Feasts. Jews say it's when GOD draws near, but it's been my personal experience that GOD is always near. Rosh Hashanah and the other high holidays are simply times when people draw near to or "return to GOD".

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon."
Isaiah 55:6-7

You don't have to be a Jew to benefit from Rosh Hashanah. This month of Elul is said to be the birthday of creation and a time to reflect on the past year.

Pull out your journal. Assess your progress.

How much have you grown since last year? What have you learned? What have you accomplished? How much have you given? This is not a time to be selfish. It's a time for introspection  and re-alignment with GOD.

It's a time to forgive others with whom you still hold a grudge. It's a time to assess your short comings and ask GOD for help in those areas.

Jews approach this time with reverential fear as GOD decides who lives and who dies. That can be literal or metaphorical as it can also mean a year of poverty or prosperity.

In Christianity, we are told the blood of Jesus has washed away our sins. It is true that GOD sacrificed Jesus to pay for the sins of humanity.

However, this annual "soul check up" is both healthy and necessary. Many Christians receive salvation and sit like a lump of clay for the rest of their lives waiting for the rapture.

No one outside of you is judging you. It's just you and GOD.  This is an opportunity to develop and grow. It's also a time to give and be as charitable as you can be and beyond your comfort zone.

Generosity helps you to overcome selfishness and balance out any areas of weakness. Generosity also gives perspective. When you open your hand to others, you open your heart to GOD (love). GOD rewards a generous giver.

In Christianity, we are told GOD opens the book at the end of your life to see if you've received salvation and thus your name written in the Book of Life. Then the LORD opens the Second Book to see your works (good deeds) and rewards you accordingly. However, if your good deeds are lagging, there's no time to correct it. It's too late.

You can't claim the wisdom and good deeds of your pastors, rabbis, parents, grandparents, saints, or prophets. You must get knowledge for yourself and sow your own seeds.  Are you familiar with the parable of the ten virgins? (See Matthew 25)
When the Messiah arrives, five foolish virgins are scrambling around for oil. They ask five wise ones for some of theirs. The five wise ones say go buy your own lest we not have enough for you nor ourselves either. That oil (wisdom and sincere acts of kindness) is what you've collected over your lifetime. It's for eternity.

Based on your deeds from the previous year, GOD determines whether to bless you or curse you the next year. Yet you decide. It's all based upon the seeds and deeds you've sown.

I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deuteronomy 30:19

If you realize you didn't really do your best, GOD gives you forty days to both repent and correct your focus. Can you earn GOD's love? No, you can not. GOD is love.

Keep that truth close to your heart. GOD loves you. Say it to yourself continuously while you're assessing yourself from the previous year. "GOD loves me."

The LORD does not want to punish you except that it will get you back on the right track. GOD wants to reward you more than you can imagine. But it must be in alignment with GOD's ways. SIN means you missed the target.

You may have lied, stolen, cheated or not spoken up for righteousness when you had the opportunity to do so. Repent. Return to GOD. Read the Living Word of GOD via the Holy Bible daily. The Holy Spirit leaps off the pages and into your heart and mind. GOD's Word will guide you.

The goal is, and always has been, for humanity to come back into alignment with the true and Living GOD. Ultimately, this should not be done seasonally but as a way of life. Then the end will come.

The month of Elul should be utilized by all to realize GOD is calling all home. However, only the righteous shall enter and remain. You can't do it alone. You need the LORD GOD's help. We all do.

Elul is a time of self-reflection that will benefit anyone who sees its true purpose. The rewards are bountiful and boundless. GOD always goes beyond your best wish list.

Any "correction" during this season is an opportunity to change your final address from Destination Pit (curses) to Destination Eden (eternal blessings). The end of your life is just too late to negotiate with GOD.

Happy Rosh Hashanah. May this next year and every year thereafter be especially sweet, healthy and prosperous for you!

"And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in loving-kindness, and in mercies.

I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD.

And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the LORD, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth;

And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel.

And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my GOD." Hosea 2:19-23

MY LOVE IS ONE: Are you BRAVE enough to LOVE?

Are you BRAVE enough to LOVE?
Love requires a measure of trust and vulnerability. However, if you're really measuring, you've already lost. Because the cost and the commitment of true love are unlimited.

You have to allow yourself to be vulnerable. You have to trust another with the affairs of your heart. You must be trustworthy. When you get it right, you've earned that person's trust and you've gained a true partner to help you hold the reigns through life's journey.

Unfortunately, more people plan for the wedding than they do the marriage journey. And you should know that it is a journey.

You have to be brave to love.  Though it's for better or worse and through sickness and good health until death do you part, most people gamble. They hope they've found someone with whom life and love will always be better, healthier, and eternal. That only happens with an everlasting GOD.  Few are ever prepared for the challenges of love which can test the strength and foundation of a relationship.

For the Spirit which God has given us is not a spirit of cowardice, but one of power and of love and of sound judgment. 2 Timothy 1:7

Life has chapters. There are many firsts. First marriage. First home purchase. First baby. First job loss. First career change. And those don't include the surprises which we won't mention. They just find you soon enough. Hopefully, yours are sweet.

Through love, prayer and faith, the canoe becomes a boat, then a yacht, and if you stay the course, it's like a cruise ship. Or perhaps it just seems that way as you have learned to ignore many of the things that once rocked your boat.

You've weathered life's storms together. You've leaned on your faith and your God. Your two entwined marital chords are now thicker, wiser and stronger.

Your love has now multiplied. You now have children. You've taught  them timeless and valuable life skills and lessons that they too can pass on to their children.

You've learned how to focus on what truly matters and let go of the silly, petty stuff. You've learned how to "get through" to "get to" life's most precious moments.

You've learned that with GOD all things are possible. And finally, you've learned that perfected love casts out all fear.

Yes, you have to be brave to love. But if you've never loved, you've never truly lived.

There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears punishment has not been perfected in love. 1 John 4:18

MY LOVE IS ONE: "Who Told you that you were Naked"?

Of all the questions GOD asks in the bible, the question before Adam and Eve still evades most people today. After all, since GOD is perfect, shouldn't all GOD's creations be so too?

"Who told you that you were naked?" the LORD God asked. "Have you eaten from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat?" Genesis 3:11

The question itself is a double edged sword. Before Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of God and Evil, they shared everything with God. They were transparent literally and metaphorically.

They conversed with GOD daily. They created with God. They brought their issues to God. They solved their problems with God.

It's like a couple when they get married. Your parents are still your parents, but in a healthy relationship, they each then become your mentor. You never stop loving or needing your parents. You just need their love and support in a different way.

Contrastly, the worst thing you can do is consult with soap operas a.k.a "Reality Tv" or a group of single friends about your marriage. None of these people know and love you unconditionally and truly want what is best for you and your spouse. At best, their love is generic. It's a substitute for the real thing God gave you from your parents and your spouse.  When you commit a wrongful act, your parents and spouse can bring you back into alignment from a place of love.

Don't get me wrong. There are some good friends out there who will be truthful and honest with you.

But your parents came together under a Covenant with GOD in marriage and you did the same with your spouse. Therefore, there is an invisible but ever present ally you have with GOD. That ALLY is perfect.

When you and your spouse bring everything and I do mean EVERYTHING to the true and Living GOD during the good times and the bad times, there is no shame. There is only trust. The Tree of Good and Evil is the generic alternative, maybe this or maybe that.

Regardless of what others may say, you know in your heart that GOD and your spouse truly love you and want only the very best for you and your family. You know that no matter what, your perfect ally, GOD, will always (eventually) get you back on track when you ask and wait patiently. That's the beauty and significance of being ever naked before GOD.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,and He will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

MY LOVE IS ONE: If Love is a 2 Way Street You're Headed in the Wrong Direction

If your love is a two way street, then your love is headed in the opposite direction. Love is not give and take. It's give and give.

Give and take implies one of you is winning and one of you is losing. True love always finds a way to give. It's not the size or the cost of the gift, but the thought, love, and attention that went into the giving. So if both of you are giving, then each of you is receiving.

It's no coincidence that God is the greatest giver. God is LOVE.

And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.  1 John 4:16

God constantly seeks people willing to receive continuous streams of love.  After all, the sun doesn't just shine over the righteous. We all get to experience the sunshine.

So if you're dating and looking for a suitable mate to eventually marry, be sure both you and that person are givers. Two givers create balance and create continuous and lasting joy. That's the foundation of a healthy marriage.

Remember, love gives. That's really all you need to know.
