Thou shall Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it Holy.
The LORD gave all humanity (not just the Jewish people) the commandment to observe the Sabbath (Shabbat). It's a time (sundown Friday until sundown Saturday) to unplug from all forms of work, phone, TV, social media etc and unite with family, friends, and loved ones to praise GOD over a delicious meal. Cast ALL your cares and concerns upon the LORD. Don't even think about work!
You'll soon realize this day was designed to restore your soul and unite your family. You'll get MORE accomplished the following week. Your family will be closer. You'll soon see the Hand of God in every area of your life. Try it! Read more about Shabbat in My Love is One.
You and your family are to honor the Sabbath by setting it aside for the Lord your God. Make sure it remains holy, just as I commanded you. 13 You should do all of your work in six days, and 14 on the seventh—the Sabbath—do not do any work. This goes for you, your sons, your daughters, your male and female servants, your oxen and donkeys and cattle, and foreign travelers staying at your house. My Sabbath rest is for all to enjoy. 15 Remember what it was like when you were a slave in Egypt. Then with overwhelming power I brought you out of there. That’s why I have commanded you to observe the Sabbath each week. Deuteronomy 5:12
